CtrlS constructed rainwater harvesting channels at Chennai’s Arignar Anna Zoological Park to address flooding, conserve water, and support long-term sustainability. Built in the zoo’s busy parking area, the system prevents monsoon flooding while capturing rainwater for groundwater recharge, critical for a city like Chennai facing water scarcity. This eco-conscious infrastructure supports the zoo’s animal care and operations while serving as a model for integrating sustainability into public spaces. The project enhances water security, aligns with conservation goals, and demonstrates how thoughtful infrastructure can benefit both the environment and community facilities.
To support climate action and biodiversity, CtrlS led a tree plantation drive at Dakshin Badrinath Temple in Medchal, planting nearly 1,000 saplings. The initiative creates lasting green spaces, improves air quality, and contributes to urban forestry and wildlife corridors. As a cultural and community hub, the temple site helps amplify environmental awareness among thousands of visitors. Beyond ecological impact, the drive serves as an educational model, encouraging individuals and organizations to adopt similar climate-positive actions and reinforcing CtrlS’s commitment to sustainability and environmental restoration.
CtrlS set up a 50KW solar-powered kitchen for the Akshaya Patra Foundation in Nawabpet, serving 25,000 schoolchildren daily. The system reduces carbon emissions, cuts fuel costs, and eliminates indoor air pollution, creating a healthier environment for staff and better food quality for children. Built with high-efficiency panels and weather-resilient backups, it showcases how large-scale cooking can be both sustainable and efficient. The initiative supports Akshaya Patra’s mission while serving as a model for renewable energy adoption, contributing to multiple SDGs: clean energy, climate action, and zero hunger.
CtrlS supported the Akshaya Patra Foundation with a meaningful sustainability and community initiative at Nawabpet. As part of this effort, the company enabled the installation of a 50 KWP solar power project, helping the foundation lower its energy footprint and redirect resources toward nutrition programmes. In addition, CtrlS contributed INR 25 lakh to strengthen Akshaya Patra’s in-house kitchen, which prepares fresh, hygienic meals for more than 25,000 people every single day. This initiative reflects CtrlS’s commitment to clean energy, food security, and creating long-term social impact for communities that need it most.
